A New Year Begins at Mamilla Hotel

This is a nighttime tour in the spirit of Selichot, exploring the connection between a person and a place, as well as the connection between a person and themselves. The tour will focus on the link between the Selichot period and Jerusalem, drawing from traditional sources and liturgical poems, and preparing for the good days to come.

The tour will begin at the renewed Tower of David Museum. You will ascend to the top of the citadel for a view and visit the new galleries. You’ll continue with a nighttime stroll through the streets of the Old City and the Jewish Quarter, arriving at the Western Wall to join the public Selichot prayers.

You are invited to join a unique Rosh Hashanah tour at the Tower of David Museum within the historic citadel walls. The tour will focus on Jerusalem’s significance as a holy city for the three major religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, offering a fascinating glimpse into its profound spiritual and global meaning. During the tour, you’ll get to know the museum’s new permanent exhibition, which combines rare archaeological findings, advanced technology, and interactive experiences, and go on a journey through Jerusalem’s story across generations.

A festive Rosh Hashanah tour following the first neighborhoods outside the walls of Jerusalem. We will embark on a special journey following the beginnings of Jerusalem’s renewal. The tour starts in the Mahane Israel neighborhood, in a charming Jerusalem courtyard with an Andalusian Garden, fountain, and colorful mosaic. From there, we’ll continue to the ancient Mamilla Pool and the Nahalat Shiva neighborhood, which was one of the first places to connect the old with the new. We will conclude the tour in front of the impressive Armenian ceramic tile wall, a great work of art that tells the story of Jerusalem’s cultural mosaic.
