Fall Experiences at Mamilla Hotel

Fall introduces a different rhythm to Jerusalem.

The air turns cooler, the streets fill with culture and art and the city invites you to step out, wander around and discover it anew. At Mamilla Hotel, in the beating heart of the capital, a season of experiences awaits you: contemporary art in downtown Jerusalem, Israeli wine encounters, local coffee experiences, and rare moments of idyllic tranquility.

The Jerusalem Biennale

Contemporary Art Across the City

The Jerusalem Biennale brings together contemporary art, identity, culture, and Jewish and Israeli heritage.

This year, The Jerusalem Biennale presents 42 exhibitions at 21 venues across the city – an opportunity to discover Jerusalem through the art being created here and now.

Mamilla Hotel invites you on an experiential walking tour through several of the Biennale’s exhibitions, all within walking distance of the hotel.

At the Museum of Italian Jewish Art, we will visit three group exhibitions curated by Liora Gov-Ari de Vries, Sigal Kaspi and Galit Cohen Shaulian, which connect contemporary art with Jewish heritage; at HaMiffal (“The Factory”), an independent, vibrant space for art and community, we will encounter works by artists Hanita Ilan, Asaf Cohen and Shani Rakaz, in an exhibition curated by Nir Gafni. Along the way, we will pass through streets, neighborhoods and cultural spaces, meet more artists and discover lesser-known sides of the city. This is a tour in which Jerusalem is not merely the backdrop to the art, but an inseparable part of the creation.

Jerusalem, from the Citadel to the Present Day

Just a few minutes’ walk from Mamilla Hotel stands the Tower of David Citadel – a place where the story of Jerusalem can be read almost like an open book. On a guided tour led by the Tower of David Museum, we will set out on a journey tracing the city that became a focal point of the three monotheistic religions. We’ll pass through the historic guardrooms and ten galleries, combining archaeological finds and ancient artifacts with interactive displays and contemporary technology.
